Job Description

Selected students will begin their journey with STT through a 12‑month Apprenticeship Program, designed to provide hands‑on industry exposure and practical learning. Upon successful completion, apprentices will be absorbed as full‑time Engineers to STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited. This initiative reflects their commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing them for impactful careers in the data centre industry.

• Civil
  • Perform structural analysis and design of buildings.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and design reports.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments as required.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
     
• Electrical & Mechanical
  • Gain hands-on exposure to the critical operations of Data Centres (DCs) across Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Safety & Security systems.
  • Support the construction of new DCs and assist in day-to-day operations, including breakdown resolution and preventive maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in equipment, hygiene, safety, quality, performance, and customer communication.
  • Act as the first-level contact for customer escalations and communication after successful training.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design & Build, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience.
  • Apply best practices to optimize power and cooling efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Help Desk & Customer Support teams to ensure accurate data delivery and timely submission of service/incident reports as per customer SLAs.

Job Requirements

Skills (Technical aspects):

• Strong foundation in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil engineering practices.
• Proficiency in at least one domain engineering subject.
• Basic knowledge of automation systems (BMS, SCADA, IoT, VR, AR, Machine Learning, AI).
• Structured troubleshooting mindset for problem resolution.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Collaborative team player, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Logical, adaptable, and flexible approach to tasks.
• Positive, practical attitude with a focus on results.

Compensation Details:

• For the initial 12 months you will be onboarded as apprenticeship
  • Stipend during this period will be ₹ 50,000 per month
• Candidates will be absorbed as Full Time Engineers upon successful completion of apprenticeship, your CTC will be ₹ 10 Lacs (Including Retention Bonus of ₹ 4 Lacs)
