Our story

At eLitmus, we have been too busy building awesome products and ensuring all customer deliveries are nothing but excellent. We have been happy churning out great products and customers coming to us with word of mouth. This has ensured we have remained a small bunch of highly motivated people. Now we have decided big is beautiful and going out and telling our story and not relying on word of mouth only, be it for - customer acquisition or onboarding new employees.  Equally, we do not want to dilute our culture.


About the role

We want someone to initiate our HR function. As we shared earlier, we are disruptive in approach and so not looking to go the traditional way.

The traditional approach leads to a situation like those of the French queen who tells her subject to eat cakes if they do not have bread (she did not realise for common people Cake is a luxury). So we expect our HR colleague to be part of business teams with targets similar to the respective business team (scaled down for time) along with overseeing the HR function. This will continue for a period of 18 months (we have 3 departments and half a year per department most probably).  Post that you would be full time in HR.

The HR function would include following with freedom to add more to it (basically you need to think growth)

  • Learning & Development
    • Identify training needs, search for equivalent courses online and recommending it to employees
    • Building body of knowledge to train eLitians into becoming the best in the World in their respective spheres 
  • Be SPOC for any difficulty/grievance faced by an employee
  • Help strategise and recruit talent across functions (writing JDs which are honest but highlights eLitmus strength)
  • Contribute to payroll, build innovative models for compensation, benefits and incentives
  • Anything and everything else which makes a typical eLitian grow in life personally (no we are not afraid of losing them, but afraid of letting them be average)


The job trivia

  • Prior experienced
    • It can be in HR or any other business function like sales, marketing, finance, operations software programmer etc
  • Location
    • eLitmus is Bangalore headquartered so we will prefer a local candidate but we are flexible as we have gone permanent work from home
  • Gender
    • No discrimination. But we will go out of the way to accommodate women candidates who had to take a break for their children


About you

  • Very high problem-solving skills 
  • Well and widely read, should have devoured business news
  • Highly savvy with business software like office/ google apps  etc or picks it up fast
  • Preferably been part of business teams
  • Traditional sectors like - Construction, Manufacturing, Pharma etc will be just great
  • At least experience of 3 years post-education (open to women who have taken a break and looking to return to workforce)
  • Fearless with an attitude of can learn everything


Selection process

  • We will give you an assignment on excel (it is ok for you to spend a week and teach yourself great excel)
  • Interview rounds: three
    • Will include puzzle-solving
