Job Description:

Bidgely is looking for an extraordinary and dynamic Lead Security Engineer to be part of its core team in Bangalore. You are energetic about building a global infrastructure for a AI SaaS platform that delivers high quality, throughput and secure ML model driven services at scale. You demonstrate passion for technology and have built a deep understanding of systems, topography, tools and processes that run a SaaS platform. You are excited to build an scalable technology that takes the Bidgely AI-driven SaaS product to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the security and reliability of the cloud infrastructure components, sub systems, parts of the network and are proactive in improving the technology, scalability, security and evolution of the infrastructure that powers the web components, customer facing components of the SaaS platform
  • You have a solid working knowledge and experience in Linux and scripting languages and have deployed security measures on multiple cloud platforms. You will interface with infrastructure providers like AWS, CloudFlare etc, and get security issues resolved working with the support engineers
  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • You will lead a team of DevOps, work with engineers to build, deploy and monitor security controls and systems.
  • You take security seriously, participate in product road map, devops road map and provide the security considerations on data, system and information security.
  • You own building and deploying tools, by demonstrating working knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies needed for safety engineering
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols, influence the SDLC to build security by design
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Work directly with partners and customers on providing solution engineering and integration architecture for security and service reliability.
  • Own the data, system, integration, enforcement, incident response and recovery SOP, policies and implement systems and processes to enable them for Bidgely and its customers
  • You are able to dive deep on the RCA, speed up debugging issues and own the incident resolution
  • You provide high quality code review comments, develop code that acts as a showcase and are responsible for the development requests in the areas of your ownership

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of strong experience managing internet based SaaS platform infrastructure
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent from premier institutes
  • Strong in problem solving, proactive monitoring and collaboration with engineering and other teams.
  • Attention to details. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Hired entry level engineers and mentored at least 3 to the next level
  • Working knowledge of tool, cloud native solutions, Operating Systems, network components and programing knowledge to leverage and manage them
  • Proven work experience leading a small team of as a System Security Engineers or Information Security Engineers
  • Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
