About the Company:
Cisco India underwent a restructuring exercise to focus on vertical markets rather than geographies, which has helped Cisco India become more business-relevant and providing solutions that directly impact customers success.
Since then, Cisco has gone from strength to strength in India, on the back of novel initiatives such as the 360 degree engagement model in the IT Services vertical, Borderless Profithon, F1 Overdrive as well as major corporate responsibility programmes such as the Lakshya Network and Project Samudaya.
In FY2011, revenues grew by 30 percent year on year, with gains in all verticals. Especially significant was growth in the IT Services and commercial segments, along with major deals in the public sector vertical, Lavasa (smart+connected communities), and Apollo Hospitals (connected healthcare). The company has continued to experience success this year, with the signing of a MOU with Mahindra & Mahindra, covering areas that range from smart cities to cloud services and initiatives such as the Virtual Dealership model.
This success was recognised in the industry by two of India’s established industry commentators, Voice&Data and Dataquest magazines, which placed Cisco amongst the leading technology companies in India. Cisco ranked second on their listing of top 100 networking and communication solution providers in the country for the year 2010–11.
