My suggestion: go 4 NITK, since being an NIT, placement is certainly better than DU (if by grad from DU, u mean courses other than B.E.) B.E. from DU is better than NITK, but NITK is better if its not B.E.

@Saurabh:
Pankaj is right.
DCE and NSIT are any day superior to NIT Kurukshetra for engineering unless its a question of branch (if your brother is getting CS/IT in NIT Kurukshetra but not in DCE/NSIT, then he should go for NIT Kurukshetra itself). No need to compromise for specialization he loves. 85% seats in DCE and NSIT are reserved for Delhi students.

I think u misunderstood me... I can Never favor any NIT over NSIT. NSIT certainly rocks over any of the NITs... What i meant to say was that NIT Ku is better than other colleges of DU(other than NSIT since DTU is no more in DU) & Saurabh, ur brother has gud rank in aieee. I think he shud get a gud college(NSIT/DTU also if u've applied since the last date is over)

Don't think too much.NITs are certainly good in all almost every respect viz. placement,faculties profile and brand name.NIT kurukshetra is very good among NITs concerning placement.But,the major thing is whether he is getting his desired stream or not.First priority should be given to desired stream if there is not much difference between the status of two institutions and here the case is almost same with respect to status of the both institutes.If ur bro is getting desired branch in NIT and DU both then go for NIT kurukshetra. Congrats to ur bro for nice score.. n best of luck for admission.. god bless him..
